When I think flyer, I think how can I communicate to my client's clients what she does in a small card?⁠

Literally. I printed these flyers for Haley on a smooth suede card.⁠

This is a sales card she puts in her pocket folders (designed also by me) to hand to her clients while she presents their luxurious dream backyards.⁠

I've been running my business for 7 years now, and it's never been comfortable.⁠

💚 CANCER YOU PICKED THE WRONG LADY 💚⁠ ⁠

💚 CANCER YOU PICKED THE WRONG LADY 💚⁠

ICYMI. It's been just 4 months since I was told I have "Metastatic Paraganglioma Cancer–Stage IV".⁠
⁠
Between this new reality, losing my dad a year ago, and the world in a pandemic, life feels completely different from before. 🥴⁠
⁠
I AM DOING WELL DESPITE IT ALL.⁠
⁠
My pastor has been preaching on a series called "Unstuck" and he teaches that reaching your goals doesn't often look linear.⁠
⁠
My quick summary of his sermon is that we have to fall down further before we propel ourselves up out of the place we are stuck.⁠
⁠
Before 2020, I was already stuck.⁠
⁠
Then... Covid pushed me down further into my "hole".⁠
My dad's passing pushed me way down.⁠
⁠
But then I got so close to God in those moments that I started to propel myself forward. I had to do it, to survive.⁠
⁠
Then... a CANCER diagnosis.⁠
⁠
I am remembering now a gift my dad received when he was going through his cancer, it said, "You may not know what tomorrow holds, but you know who holds tomorrow."⁠
⁠
Through this past year, GOD WAS THERE and He reminds me daily of the gifts He has given me. This is what is propelling my story forward, cancer doesn't have a hold on me.⁠
⁠
I've lived enough "life" this past year to know that more bad days are going to happen, but God keeps making me stronger.⁠
⁠
I don't know if I'll ever figure out why I am currently living symptom-free with an invisible cancer, but for now, I am just propelling myself forward, trusting God has my tomorrows.⁠
⁠
ALSO, my 2nd set of scans in April showed no new growth, so that's something to wake up and smile about. ⁠
⁠
I'll have my 3rd staging this Fall, but until then I am going after the goals I have always had on my vision boards for years. ⁠
⁠
I have no more excuses and no more time to waste.⁠
⁠
You don't need a cancer diagnosis to propel yourself to achieve your next goal, I wish it upon nobody, but I am here ready to cheer you on if you need a buddy to help you get unstuck.⁠

2020 stole enough of our time, let's make the 2nd half of 2021 make 2020 insignificant.⁠

HERE WE GO AGAIN

It’s been two months of “watch and wait” with my cancer. Went by quick and not so quick at the same time.

Two months of my life completely changed in how I think about EVERYTHING.

I have been trying to be less stressed, more rest, have more joy in my day-to-day, reconnect with so many friends, and still hanging with my family a bunch.

Trying to laugh often, more than cry.

I have been doing ok I think. Pretty optimistic that I can make this season filled with joy even when it’s not very fun.

Last week got tougher, I got crankier. I think I was feeling anxious leading up to today’s new scans.

But I am trying to feel calm for the scan at the same time... maybe that will help the results. 😉

Today is a blood test and PET Scan. I’ll show more pics in my stories later @jennsjoy.run .

I know I have a lot of wonderful people praying for me, but I will take all I can get!

Is it just me or has wedding season come alive again? Thanks, COVID for shutting down LOVE. 🚫 💕⁠

Anyway, I don't design a ton of weddings in a single year, but here in 2021 I have already collaborated with my favorite letterpress printer @hazelandviolet on at least 3 this past month!⁠

At the end of this year marks my 10-year anniversary, and I am excited to plan something special for me and the hubby! ⁠

Weddings are so special, and I try to make every bride & groom feel comfortable knowing they can get their custom invitation made to exactly what they dreamed (if not better). ⁠
